
Dr. Olugbenga Ibikunle is Managing Principal at Avodahtec, an engineering and management consulting firm based in Canada, and a globally recognized leader in infrastructure and asset management. With close to two decades of combined academic and industry experience, he specializes in asset and infrastructure management aligned with leading standards such as ISO 55000, the International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM), the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), and the Safety and Loss Management System (SLMS).
He is an expert in trenchless pipeline technologies, innovative inspection and condition assessment methods, and rehabilitation solutions across water, oil & gas, and mining sectors. He serves as Asset Management Lead, Project Manager, and Technical Lead on diverse high-impact projects across North America and beyond. A certified Asset Management professional and Certified Reliability Leader®, he holds competencies spanning reliability engineering, asset condition management, work execution, and leadership.
He is an award-winning author and speaker, recipient of the IAM 2020 NxtGen Global Award and the 2021 CNAM TEREO National Asset Management Ambassador Award. His recent frameworks and tools assist asset owners across North America in optimizing maintenance investments and reducing infrastructure risk.
Dr. Ibikunle holds an MBA in Strategy & Consulting from the University of Alberta, a PhD in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, an MSc in Environmental Engineering & Project Management from the University of Leeds, and a BSc (Hons) in Process Engineering.
